There are multiple vital skills that tutors must possess. However, not all do. They should have qualifications, experience, and knowledge. I enjoy a deep understanding of different learning styles, how education impacts young people and how to use evidence collaboratively to inform the next steps. I offer a professional standard cultivated through years of teaching and personal development. For example, I have valuable expertise in three educational systems (i.e. Scottish, English and International Baccalaureate). I have delivered the syllabus of each mathematical course many times in a school and appreciate first-hand what the respective examination board requires for academic success. I boast considerable experience preparing pupils for individual and team mathematical challenges such as those organised by the UK Mathematical Trust.
